We always wanted a concrete house because of the advantages this type of construction provides. We’ve now lived in it for almost 13 years and have loved every minute of it. There is simply nothing else quite like this kind of living. It really has to be experienced to be appreciated.
When we heard that Carlos was launching Atlas Dome Homes, I wanted to support him in any way I could. The truth is, I was lucky that Carlos happened to be my neighbor when the concrete shell was being poured.
From the beginning, it became clear that the crew sent by the company building my house lacked experience, and several serious problems occurred during the concrete placement. We experienced everything from blow-outs to windows being positioned incorrectly.
Carlos stepped in immediately and handled each problem calmly and efficiently as it happened. I’ve told him that I only have the house I do today because he was there during the pour.
He understands this trade inside and out, works incredibly hard, and quietly gets on with the job without drama or noise.
We truly wish him all the very best in this new adventure.

Carlos worked on our ceilings and walls in our earth-sheltered home. The home consists of 2 large domed rooms and a small area, a total of about 2,300sq ft, all of concrete. The domes are high and therefore particularly difficult to work on.
The concrete finish was very rough in many places and required skill and patience to cover large blemishes, especially where the walls and domed ceilings came together.
Carlos did an excellent job. We are very happy with the finished product.
